When I moved to California, I got a job at a dry cleaners.  I was quickly given the job of night manager.  Over a period of about 2 1/2 years I stole close to $10,000.00.

The only reason I got caught was because a customer came in and complained about an order and the owner was looking for the ticket which was in my pocket at my house.  The owner called me and had me come in and explain why I had not rung up the order. He wanted know where the money that she had paid was?

I came up with the lamest excuse.  I said that the receipts were $90.00 over for the night and I kept the ticket and the money until I could speak with him.

Well, he did not believe me I was fired.  That was the last time I ever stole.
