How did a nice face like mine get to a site like this? (Click Here)Lies Women Tell Men

Lips Like Strawberry Wine!

from:

I am sixteen years old and my boyfriend and I hadn't even really been going together for that long when I really started to get attracted to his best friend, Scott. My boyfriend asked me if I was getting attracted to Scott but I said NO. Then, only two days later, I found out that Scott liked me, so I broke up with my boyfriend and went out with Scott the next day. We have been going out for about a month now and my mother asked me if I was going out with Scott and I said NO and made up this big story. Now I am starting to forget what I told her, and I am lying to her and I think she is starting to figure it all out. What do you think I should do?

Lies People Tell replies:

Dear P.D.,

Here's the truth: you have the right to like anybody that you want to. This is, after all, America. Land of the free. If you choose one week to be with one fellow and the next week to be with his best friend, well, that's just the way it is. You haven't done anything wrong to any one and you have no reason to lie about it. You liked boyfriend #1. Then you were attracted to boyfriend #2. That's simple. And may I congratulate you on breaking it off with #1 before hooking up with #2. You did the right stuff in the right order.

My advice: It's not really any of mom's business but if you want to tell her what happened, tell her. You have nothing to be ashamed of. Let her know that you felt uncomfortable talking about this at first and you made up a big story but that you want to now tell her the truth. She will understand.

Thanks,

Chris
