You know, you are a really great guy. And I liked going out with you and all that but I think of us as just friends. Is that okay? Can we be just friends? That's what I think we are, good friends, just good friends. Okay?

I am a 29 year old male and have heard this one many times. It took me a long time to figure out what is actually being said. Guess I'm just naive. I'm sure every other guy at some point in his life has has heard this one too:

"We're just good friends!"

Well, upon much reflection, I have come to a place where I can laugh at this one. My reply?

"No we aren't! If you were a "good"
friend you would tell me the truth."

The truth is a woman may be a good person, but if she were a good friend she would say:

"This relationship isn't ever going where you want it to."

And if she were a really good friend she might say,

"MORE!"
